FOR SCRIBERIA EVENT ATTENDEES AND TICKET PURCHASERS
The following terms and conditions apply to all persons and or companies or other entities (“you”) that are attending any workshop or event (“Event”) organised by Scriberia Limited (“we” or “us”). Please make sure you have read and understand the following:
Acceptance of terms and conditions
By buying a place on a particular Event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out below (“Terms”). You will ensure that you, your employees, partners, agents, contractors, subcontractors and any other person attending the Event on your behalf shall comply with these Terms.Disability AND medical conditions, and dietary requirements
If you have any disability or medical condition that requires us to make special arrangements for you, please email us at academy@scriberia.co.uk as soon as possible and at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the Event. This includes letting us know about special dietary requirements, if the Event is catered.Travel and accommodation
You are responsible for making and paying for your own travel and accommodation arrangements to and from the Event. If you are late at the Event or prevented from attending it due to travel delays or any other circumstances, we will not be obliged to give you a refund or to wait to start the Event until you arrive.Substitutions (transferring a ticket to a new name)
You can transfer your ticket to the Event to someone else as long as you give us their name and contact details by emailing academy@scriberia.co.uk at least 6 hours before the event.Cancellations
To get a refund on an Event ticket booking, you must make the cancellation at least 7 full working days (i.e. excluding Saturday, Sunday and all public holidays) before the start of the Event. Please email academy@scriberia.co.uk to arrange this.
Any cancellation made less than 7 full working days before the Event will be charged at 100% of the full payable fee.
If you (or your delegate or substitute) do not attend the Event, that will be taken as cancellation, and 100% of the payable fee will be charged.
There may be circumstances in which we need to cancel the Event. If that happens, we will provide you with a full refund of the amount of the Event ticket fee that you have paid to us and we will make every effort to provide you with such refund within 60 days of the date of cancellation.Event pricing
We reserve the right to run price promotions.Event Content
We reserve the right to change the published programme including the publicised timing, venue, speakers, workshop leaders, artists, content, menu, format or materials as we think fit. If we do need to change the timing, venue or guest speakers, we will endeavour to notify you by email as soon as possible. All our Events are in English, unless otherwise stated.Event Materials
Unless otherwise stated, the copyright for any materials used as part of the Event (including course notes, slides, and articles) belongs to us and may not be reproduced in any medium without our prior written consent.
You may use such materials for your own purposes only and may not reproduce, publish or deal with such materials in any way for any commercial use.Photography and filming
We may wish to photograph or film the Event and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future events or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the Event) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the Event with you. You may not photograph or video the Event without our prior consent.Data Protection

If you act in any way which in our opinion is likely to cause any harm or nuisance to any person at the Event, you will be required to leave the Event and we shall not be liable to refund your booking fee or any other payment.
You must comply at all times comply with all health and safety, licensing, and other rules and regulations of the venue or applicable to the venue. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with any rules and regulations that apply, as displayed at the venue. You also agree not to bring in any illegal or hazardous items.
You also agree to comply with any reasonable request by the staff at the venue or supervising the Event (for example, without limitation, requests relating to health and safety).
You must keep your personal belongings with you at all times and we accept no liability for any damage to, loss of or theft of any of your belongings or other items brought to the Event by you.
You will be responsible for damage to the property of the venue or Scriberia Limited caused by you during an Event and will agree to make good or pay full restitution for the making good of any such damage.Limitations of Liability
Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken by us to ensure security and safety at the Event, we shall not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you whatsoever in relation to the Event, save that nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to limit the liability of any person for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, any fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability for which it is unlawful to exclude or limit liability.
Our total liability for any matter arising out of the Contract shall in all circumstances be limited to the price paid by you for the Event and we shall not in any circumstances be liable to you for any consequential loss whatsoever.Force Majeure
We shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, pandemics or acute outbreaks of communicable disease, the availability of the location for the Event or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control.
We shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) which may be suffered by you due to any circumstances or events beyond our control including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, riot, strike, lock-out, trade dispute or labour disturbance, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, leakage, shortage of or inability to obtain materials, failure of supply of electricity or telephone or compliance with any regulation, direction or request made by a Government authority.General
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall restrict or exclude any liability that we have to any party that cannot be excluded by law. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising.
Submission of this booking constitutes a legally binding agreement.
